Great experience all round. 11 adults plus 2 kids. All food came out quickly, the service was spot on. Very busy with takeaways but didn't have any impact on the service we were given, and lady who served us was on her own for most of the time. The food was great! Thoroughly recommend 🙂

We’ve only ordered from here a couple of times, usually when we can’t get through to Saffron Walden Chinese.
Can’t comment on dining in so I won’t but every time we’ve had a takeaway there’s been an issue.
Usually missing items, or an incorrect dish. Tonights food was awful, we ordered Kung Pao chicken and it turns out like the attached picture. It was like boiled chicken in a tasteless broth with a few veg added. Usually it’s crispy with a sweet sauce, like every other saffron Walden Chinese does.
Will not be ordering again, we’ve given it numerous chances and it’s always messed up!

The best Chinese food in the region, we have known it for 30 years and food quality has always stayed excellent, the owners always serves us very well and we find prices very affordable in the evening parking is easy in market sq for free. If you get chance to try restaurant on Saturday lunch there are great cheap lunchtime meals so can try it out.

Avoid at all cost!
I was there in the 2nd week of August 2023 I ordered a beer and got a warm bottle slammed on the table, I asked for a cold one but the waitress said they didn't have any, and offered to put in in the fridge! I asked for it to be taken off the bill but she refused. If this is the level of service to the customer up front then what do you think goes on in the kitchen? Food came 2 hours after we had ordered and it was terrible , it all looked and tasted the same, dry duck, mushy tastless goo that was supposed to be a sauce, I would not give this food to a dog , the dog would probably die from MSG overdose . The worst thing is that my father in law has been a REGULAR costumer for years, I wonder what else they have gotten away with? My name is Rene Meyer and I have truthfully submitted this REVIEW.

The prices are very friendly moreover the food is wonderful. Good quality ingredients, well made dishes and nice serving also. The waitress was kind, friendly and professional.
We were in transit and just popped in to eat something, but spent two amazing hours there. Don't miss the jasmin tea.

Worse Chinese food I've ever had. Sweet/sour chicken balls were bits of dry chicken covered in something like bread dough - they were inedible and I'm taking them back. Lemon chicken was gloop, noodles were swimming in grease duck was dry - tasted like it had been warmed up a dozen times. Horrible & overpriced.

The Jade Garden's Lunch Deal is excellent. Apparently this offer is only between Thursday and Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. For under £20, we had 2 starters, 2 generous main courses and 2 side dishes. Brilliant food and superb service

Very bad experience I’ve had.. dry duck and the beef noodles were just horrible.. I’ve also waited 45 min for 3 dishes on a Sunday night.. I’d rather have them ask me to choose something else.. the chicken balls were greasy and tasted like fish.. I can tell they didn’t changed the oil in the fryers for loooong time.. very very bad I suggest to whoever wants to eat Chinese not to order from here . HORRIBLE

Disappointing. The pancakes for the duck came in the duck bag and were covered in oil. Cucumber was dry. Lemon chicken - awful. Sweet and sour chicken gristly, beef with ginger and spring onion - OK, prawn crackers stale, soup thick and floppy, seaweed burnt - , rice flavourless and Singapore noodles inedible as sooooo spicy - very upset as this was to celebrate CNY and the birth of our niece who is a dragon. We won’t be back as expensive as well.

Ordered a takeaway on the 31/08/21 for dinner, at the early hours of the following day husband and I started to vomiting. We had two days of being very sick with food poison, needless to say we won't eat again from so called "Jade restaurant" anymore!
PS: the food was cold, tasteless and seemed to be reheated, awful!

A nice range of items on the menu, reasonable quantities and not badly priced. Happy with the quality too but Oh the wait! Phoned in our order, 40 minutes in advance and then waited, with half a dozen other customers, for another 30 minutes before our food appeared.

Ordered take away for collection. During COVID so not normal circumstances.
Told to collect at 2045. Still in here waiting at nearly 2110.
I think they wait until you get here, pay and then they start cooking it
Won't be ordering from here again until things are normal.....
